Complete architectural design for a single-storey family house for year-round living in Kozloduy, Bulgaria.
Architectural concept
The unusual shape of this regulated plot in Kozloduy presented a design challenge: a relatively narrow frontage opens into a wider rear section. We developed several options within the planning restrictions, from two-storey to single-storey layouts, before arriving at the scheme presented to the client.
The façades combine mineral and silicone render with natural timber cladding and sliding sunshades. A small swimming pool occupies the southern part of the site, with direct access from one bedroom.
The living area faces the street at the front, while three bedrooms occupy the rear of the plot.
